About Emily

Emily focuses on middle-market to multibillion-dollar transactions, including private equity, M&A, carve outs and corporate governance. Her clients include private equity sponsors, strategic investors and founders across industries spanning healthcare, media, software as a service and manufacturing. Emily is skilled at drafting and negotiating primary and ancillary transaction documents and advising on rollover equity structuring, incentive equity arrangements, capitalization matters and executive employment arrangements.

Her pro bono practice focuses on immigration and veterans’ advocacy matters, including humanitarian parole, permanent residency and temporary protected status applicants, and traumatic injury protection benefits.

In law school, Emily was an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and an Ira C. Rothgerber Jr. teaching fellow in civil procedure. She also placed first in the school’s Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition and second in its Intra-School Transactional Competition.

As an undergraduate, Emily was a full-scholarship student-athlete on Texas Christian University’s NCAA Division I swimming and diving team, earning Academic All-America honors, receiving her conference’s Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award and setting two school records.
