About David

David is a registered practitioner with the US Patent and Trademark Office. His practice focuses on patent litigation in both the US International Trade Commission’s (ITC’s) Office of Unfair Import Investigations and federal courts. David’s experience includes chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) slurries, geolocation, cash-out functionality, adaptive bitrate streaming, toner cartridges, artificial eyelashes, applied optoelectronics and post-Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA) issues.

Before law school, David acquired his bachelor’s in electrical engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. During this time, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics studying the drift mobility of electrons in semiconductors. David also worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology characterizing alternating current (AC) impedance in resistors. Upon graduating, he joined Hughes Network Systems designing and testing Wi-Fi modems.

During law school, David conducted an externship with the ITC’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations. He was also part of the Intellectual Property and Information Policy Clinic, where he helped nonprofits with copyright issues.
