Connie Tong

Dr. Connie Tong is a patent agent in the patent counseling and prosecution practice group. Her practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution involving both domestic and foreign patent applications.

Connie's  practice covers pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotechnology. She is also experienced in freedom-to-operate opinions, patentability opinions and due diligence in intellectual property transactions.

Prior to joining Cooley, Connie was a patent agent with Morrison and Foerster and other law firms.  She has also been an in-house patent agent at a biopharmaceutical company. She was an adjunct faculty member at Concordia University in Irvine and taught introductory organic chemistry while working as a patent agent.
