About Candace

Candace is a patent agent in the patent counseling & prosecution group who focuses on drafting and prosecuting biotechnology patent applications, managing patent portfolios and performing patent due diligence analyses.

Candace has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to gene editing technologies, gene therapies, antibodies, vaccines and diagnostic methods.

In addition to her work at Cooley, Candace is presently a law student at the University of California, Davis School of Law.

Before joining Cooley, Candace worked as a patent agent at Scribe Therapeutics and Morrison & Foerster.

In her doctorol research at the University of California, San Francisco, Candace studied the molecular biology and evolution of transcriptional regulation. Her work was published in the journal Science.
