About Azad

Azad practices general corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on the representation of emerging companies, venture capital funds and public companies.

Azad advises clients throughout the business life cycle on formation and governance, seed and venture capital financings, fund formation and M&A.

Prior to joining Cooley, Azad served as a Director’s Financial Analyst at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he worked on rulemakings – including the implementation of Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act – and conducted economic research. During the pandemic, he completed a detail with the US Small Business Administration supporting the rollout of the Paycheck Protection Program.
