
About Ashley
Ashley’s practice focuses on preparation and prosecution of US and foreign patents, as well as freedom-to-operate analysis. Her scientific and technical knowledge spans a variety of related fields, including immunology, molecular biology and microbiology.
Before joining Cooley, Ashley worked as a scientific writer and editor in the vaccine and infectious disease division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Her doctoral research was on microbial transcriptomics, while her postdoctoral research focused on immune responses to infectious and allergic disease, vaccine design, and host-pathogen interactions. Ashley’s research has been published in 10 peer-reviewed articles.
