About Anna

Anna Anderson is a paralegal specialist in the trademark, advertising and copyright practice group and a member of the Cooley litigation department. She is resident in the Boston office and rejoined Cooley in 2007, having worked in the Reston office from 2000 to 2005. Prior to rejoining, Anna was a trademark paralegal at Foley Hoag, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, where she specialized in domestic and international trademark prosecution, maintenance, policing and litigation for companies active in the pharmaceutical, medical, computer and consumer goods and services industries, as well as for a number of nonprofit charitable organizations.

Before joining Cooley in 2000, Anna was a trademark specialist with Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis, LLP, in Alexandria, Virginia where she managed the foreign and domestic trademark concerns for a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Burns Doane, Anna was a trademark watch clerk at Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd., where she was responsible for monitoring the US Official Gazette for published trademarks infringing on the intellectual property rights of the firm's clients.

Anna received a MA in Anthropology, specializing in Historical Archaeology, from the College of William and Mary in May 2002. She received her AB degree in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College in 1992.

Prior to entering the field of law, Anna worked as an archaeologist for the National Park Service in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association in Mount Vernon, Virginia.
