About Andrew
Andrew’s practice encompasses a range of intellectual property disputes involving complex technologies including computer software and hardware, wireless communications, Internet applications and protocols, consumer electronics, video understanding, aeronautics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Andrew has substantial experience litigating patent and trade secret disputes at every stage of federal district courts cases, including discovery disputes, expert reports, depositions, oral arguments and trial. In addition to patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims, Andrew has counseled clients to address false advertising, unfair competition, breach of contract and trade libel claims related to the technology at issue in intellectual property disputes. At the ITC, Andrew has represented clients in investigations related to liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Andrew has also represented clients in proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office related to medical devices and pharmaceutical treatment methods of treatment.
Andrew earned his Master of Science degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), where his research focused on synthetic developmental biology and tissue engineering. During law school, Andrew was the senior articles editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and was a member of the HMCI Advocacy Committee. Upon graduation, Andrew received the High Tech Law Certificate (HTLC), Intellectual Property Specialization, with honors.
