Andrew Gunther

Andrew is a business lawyer and strategic advisor to high-growth technology companies and the investors who back them. He represents private companies across the full life cycle as they scale from formation through exit, and he regularly counsels venture capital and growth investors in connection with new investments, follow-on financings and portfolio company matters. Andrew’s practice spans emerging areas of technology, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and technology transforming the physical economy, infrastructure and regulated industries.

Focusing on corporate governance and capital strategy, Andrew leads clients through a range of transactions, including angel, seed, venture capital and growth equity financings, as well as recapitalizations, tender offers, and mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Cooley, Andrew practiced in the corporate group of a global law firm headquartered in California. While at The George Washington University Law School, he was a member of The George Washington Law Review. During law school, Andrew also interned at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC.
