Alla Brukman

Alla specializes in counseling clients in the biotechnology and life science sectors on global patent strategy and patent life cycle management. Alla advises biotech, pharmaceutical and agricultural companies of all sizes, including startups and mid-sized companies, on developing patent strategies that fit their business needs. She is particularly experienced in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, virology and genetics.

Alla has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the fields of therapeutic antibodies, gene therapy, CRISPR gene editing, cell-based therapeutics, vaccines, disease diagnostics, and manufacturing and formulation of therapeutic agents. She also has experience in the preparation of patentability, freedom-to-operate and invalidity/non-infringement opinions, and intellectual property due diligence. In addition, Alla has co-authored various publications, including articles appearing in the Journal of Virology.
