Albert Y. Kim

Albert’s antitrust practice focuses on federal and state agencies’ review of mergers and acquisitions, government investigations and antitrust compliance counseling. Albert regularly represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division, state regulatory agencies and international competition authorities. He has extensive experience with transactions, investigations and civil litigation in a range of sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, energy, consumer goods and semiconductors.

Albert served for seven years at the FTC in the Bureau of Competition’s Mergers IV Division, where he had senior roles in various merger and conduct investigations and litigated enforcement actions. These included Inova-Prince William, Whole Foods-Wild Oats, CSL-Talecris and the Intel monopolization challenge. He received several individual and team awards during his time at the FTC. Following his tenure at the FTC, Albert lived and worked in Sri Lanka and Singapore.

Albert is active in the ABA Antitrust Section, where he has served in several leadership positions. Following law school, Albert clerked for Judge Ellsworth Van Graafeiland on the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
