Albert Gelin

Albert focuses on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on formations, securities transactions, M&A, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and state blue sky compliance. He has 25+ years of experience working with high-growth startups, public companies, VCs and investment bankers in a variety of complex corporate and securities transactions.

His experience includes advising high-growth startups from formation through funding and liquidity events; corporate governance; VC financings; M&A; private placements; public offerings, including initial public offerings (IPOs), private investments in public equity (PIPEs), special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) and deSPAC transactions; SEC compliance and Sections 13 and 16 reporting and maintenance; Form ADV filings; and state blue sky compliance.

Before joining Cooley, Albert had extensive experience working at Silicon Valley startup incubators. He also worked at the US and international offices of several other global law firms.
