But as a chapter 11 professional with more than 30 years of experience, it is part of my job to make the most out of a bad situation, and I’ve found that so-called 'structured dismissals' are an invaluable tool for estates to preserve and maximize value when debtors are in their nadir. Recognizing their utility, courts throughout the country, in numerous reported and unreported decisions, have permitted structured dismissals."
