Lead Generation for BigLaw? The Business and Ethics of Providing Free Legal Tools and Information Online

"Beginning in 2009, large corporate services law firms began to offer free interactive services and downloadable forms on their websites. Today, there are still only a handful of AmLaw 200 firms that provide free interactive legal resources, but the number is increasing. A similar trend, though much more dramatic, is visible in the number of free legal information apps provided by AmLaw 200 firms. The types of resources available include several different types of term sheet generators, privacy policy generators, incorporation forms and generators, financing documents, content-based apps, and more."
