New FINRA rule re conflicts of interest effective September 14

A reminder to the many hordes working on public offerings these days that, effective September 14, 2009, underwriters must begin to comply with the requirements of new NASD Rule 2720 (Public Offerings of Securities with Conflicts of Interest), which governs public offerings of securities in which participating underwriters have a conflict of interest. The rule is described in more detail in the post on June 17.
