Earendil Labs Announces Research Collaboration With Genentech
Shanghai – September 24, 2026 – Cooley advised Earendil Labs, an artificial intelligence-powered biotechnology company advancing next-generation biologics, on its research collaboration with Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, to discover and develop multiple therapeutic bispecific antibody programs in oncology.
As part of the Agreement, Earendil Labs will receive a $55 million upfront payment, with the total potential value of the collaboration, including upfront, development, regulatory and sales milestone payments in excess of $1.5 billion. Earendil Labs is also eligible to receive tiered royalties on net product sales.
Lawyers Yiming Liu, Geoffrey Spolyar and Zack Gong led the Cooley team advising Earendil Labs, with support from Shawn Yu and Zhijing Yu.
Cooley previously advised Earendil Labs on its strategic collaboration with Sanofi in January 2026 and its exclusive license agreement with Sanofi in April 2025.
