Cooley Partner Featured in ‘The Lawfare Podcast’ Series on PCLOB’s Section 702 Report

Travis LeBlanc, Cooley partner and co-chair of the firm’s cyber/data/privacy practice, was featured as a guest on “The Lawfare Podcast” in a two-part series about the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB) report on Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. In part one, LeBlanc discussed areas on which the members substantially agree, compliance problems that have plagued the FBI, and both sides of the PCLOB’s recommendations on how to address those compliance problems. In part two, LeBlanc spoke about the board members’ views on the privacy and civil liberties risks posed by Section 702, as well as each side’s differing recommendations for addressing those risks.
