Cooley Expands International Arbitration Practice With Addition of Charlie Lightfoot in London

LondonOctober 2, 2023 – Charlie Lightfoot has joined Cooley as global chair of the firm’s international arbitration practice and as a partner in the firm’s litigation department. Lightfoot arrives from Jenner & Block, where he was global chair of the firm’s international arbitration practice.

Lightfoot brings nearly 25 years of experience advising on complex and high-value international disputes, representing clients in commercial and investor-state arbitrations, as well as in litigation in the English courts. Lightfoot has experience in a range of sectors and has recently represented defense and aerospace contractors in disputes with the UK government, as well as infrastructure funds and clients in the renewable energy sector.
