Cooley Shortlisted for The Lawyer Awards 2022
London – May 3, 2022 – Cooley has been shortlisted in two major categories of The Lawyer Awards for 2022. In the first category, City Firm of the Year, the firm was shortlisted among select US and UK-based firms with a strong presence in the city of London.
In the Litigation Team of the Year category, firms are judged based on a single standout matter heard in England and Wales for which a judgment has been issued since spring 2021. Cooley’s finalist status is based on its successful representation of biopharmaceutical company IQVIA in a breach of contract and unfair business practices case.
The listings come after a particularly strong year for the firm’s London office, where 2021 revenues reached $105 million (£84 million), a remarkable showing of 50% growth year over year. The office has more than doubled its headcount since 2015, when the firm launched what The Lawyer described as the “biggest office opening in legal market history.”
The winners will be announced during a ceremony in London on June 21.
