Washington, DC – April 18, 2022 – Cooley special counsel Bridget Reineking, a Washington, DC-based member of the firm’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and international trade practice, has been recognized on Foreign Investment Watch’s Top Advisors for 2022 list, which honors the “top lawyers providing legal advice concerning national security reviews of foreign investments in the US and abroad.” The editorial rankings are based on several criteria, including experience, reputation, clients served, first-person interviews, references, reader recommendations and articles published.

In her profile, Reineking was celebrated for her “deep experience” and “straightforward insights” in national security matters. Foreign Investment Watch previously had noted Reineking’s 2021 arrival at Cooley, and also had interviewed her about her time in the Treasury Department’s Office of the General Counsel as senior counsel and lead CFIUS counsel to the Office of Investment Security, where her experience included the resolution of hundreds of notified and non-notified transactions, as well as the negotiation of complex national security agreements.

Reineking advises companies, financial institutions and private equity funds – in the US and globally – on their outbound and inbound business transactions. She also guides clients on legal, policy and enforcement issues arising under US trade and economic sanctions, US export controls, and national security reviews before CFIUS.
