Cooley Lawyers Join LCLD Fellows + Pathfinder Programs

February 18, 2022

Los Angeles – February 18, 2022 – Partner Sara Semnani is Cooley’s 2022 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity fellow. Associates Brian Focarino and Cameron Vanderwall will also join the organization’s Pathfinder Program.

Launched in 2011, the LCLD’s Fellows Program mentors the legal industry’s diverse leaders of tomorrow, and connects high-potential lawyers with leading general counsel and managing partners – as well as their peers – for mentoring and career guidance. This is the ninth year Cooley has nominated a lawyer for the LCLD program.

Designed to supplement training initiatives at LCLD member corporations and law firms, the Pathfinder Program provides participants with practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks, foundational leadership skills and an understanding of career development strategies. Pathfinders are recognized as emerging leaders within their respective organizations.

Founded in 2009, the LCLD is made up of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession.

Cooley has been widely recognized for its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts by leading industry organizations and publications, including earning a six-time perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, a Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum for 10 consecutive years and achieving Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule Certification Plus status.
