Cooley Lands on Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women List for Seventh Time

September 16, 2021

Palo Alto – September 16, 2021 – Cooley has been named to Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women list for the seventh year in a row, ranking #29 in the large workplaces category.

“The inclusion of everybody, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation. All are welcome here and all are celebrated. It is truly a family and I absolutely feel celebrated and cared for and accepted,” an anonymous Cooley employee quoted in Fortune’s profile said.

Fortune partners with Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm, to select the Best Workplaces for Women list. Great Place to Work analyzed confidential survey feedback representing more than 5.6 million US employees. The rankings are based on what women report in a 60-question survey about their workplace, how fairly those experiences compare to men’s reports of the same workplaces, and how well represented women are in the workforce and throughout management. To be considered, companies need to employ at least 50 women, at least 20% of their nonexecutive managers need to be women and at least one of their executives needs to be a woman.

Also included seven times on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list, Cooley is consistently recognized for its dedication to its employees and its unique culture, earning annual placement on Fortune’s best workplaces lists for diversity, parents, millennials, and consulting and professional services. The firm has been widely recognized for its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts by leading industry organizations and publications, including Diversity Lab, Working Mother, Crain’s New York Business, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and the Women in Law Empowerment Forum.
