"Recent stock market swings have rattled the tech sector and spurred speculation about how much impact that volatility might have on startup M&A. One investment banker said that in recent weeks, some acquisition talks have stalled because public comparables have been in flux. Another person who works on deals said an increase in M&A actually seems more likely now, hypothesizing that Wall Street's turmoil could spook IPO-bound startups into feeling more inclined to sell. So which is it? More M&A? Less M&A? Or no change, particularly since stocks have recovered their losses for November."
