Atom Tickets – $60 Million Series C
Los Angeles – April 20, 2018 – Cooley advised Atom Tickets on its $60 million Series C funding round led by Fidelity Management & Research. Partner Dave Young headed the team advising Atom Tickets.
The round also included participation from previous investors Lionsgate, Disney and Twentieth Century Fox Film. In the last year, according to Atom Tickets, it has formed an advisory board with visionary filmmakers Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Tyler Perry to serve as a resource to the company as it continues to bring the most innovative and convenient theatrical movie experiences to consumers.
"This year has proven to be our biggest yet in terms of growth, because we're leading and delivering on what the industry needs," said Matthew Bakal, Atom Tickets co-founder and chairman, in a news release.
Atom Tickets is a first-of-its-kind social movie ticketing app. Atom Tickets allows consumers to search for films instantly, invite friends, buy tickets, pre-order concessions and more. Enabled on nearly 20,000 screens across the US, the platform's innovative marketing capabilities help studios, exhibitors and brands maximize revenue opportunities.
