December 21, 2017

New York – December 21, 2017 – Crain’s New York Business has recognized Cooley partners Meredith Beuchaw, Wendy Goldstein and Kathleen Pakenham on its inaugural list of the 100 Leading Women Lawyers in New York City. The list highlights the city’s most talented women lawyers, who juggle distinguished careers and exceptional civic and philanthropic activities.

Beuchaw, who joined Cooley in July, is a seasoned practitioner adding to Cooley’s global M&A momentum in New York, and bolstering the firm’s overall East Coast M&A and tech strengths. She recently advised meal-kit startup Plated on its sale to Albertsons, marking the first acquisition of a meal delivery service by a traditional grocer.

Goldstein chairs Cooley’s healthcare and life sciences regulatory practice. Among her clients are many high-profile life sciences and healthcare companies that she assists in navigating cutting-edge regulatory and enforcement issues. LMG Life Sciences has recognized her as a Life Science Star for three years and has named her Attorney of the Year.

Pakenham is co-chair of the tax practice group and serves on Cooley’s management committee. She is widely recognized as one of the top tax litigators of the country, ranking among the best in the field by Chambers USA and Legal 500. Pakenham is a lead advisor to Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries, including banking, energy, telecom and oil and gas.
