BrightFarms Completes $30 Million Series C
Palo Alto – October 4, 2016 – Cooley advised BrightFarms on its $30.1 million Series C funding round, which was led by Catalyst Investors and included participation from WP Global Partners and NGEN.
“Having the backing of Catalyst Investors further validates BrightFarms’ innovative solution for providing consumers with fresh, local, sustainable produce at a commercial scale,” said BrightFarms CEO Paul Lightfood, in a company issued press release. “This investment will enable us to dramatically expand our markets and provide more Americans with fresh, delicious, locally grown produce on a year-round basis.”
New York-based BrightFarms finances, designs, builds and operates greenhouse farms at or near supermarkets, cutting time, distance and cost from the produce supply chain.
