Notable White Collar Litigator Joins Cooley in London

January 20, 2016

London – January 20, 2016 – Cooley's UK growth continues with the arrival of litigation partner Louise Delahunty, a highly-regarded litigator specializing in white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. Delahunty brings 30+ years of experience navigating global investigations, joining from Sullivan & Cromwell where she was European Counsel. Prior to that, she was a partner at Simmons & Simmons and a member of its crime, fraud & investigations group.

"We're thrilled to have Louise join us," said Justin Stock, managing partner of Cooley's London office. "She brings a wealth of experience to our litigation department, further enhancing our ability to meet the needs of our clients in London and beyond."

Delahunty was recently recognized as the 2015 IFLR Woman White Collar Crime Lawyer of the Year and has been featured in The Lawyer's Hot 100. /p>

"I'm excited to come on board and contribute to Cooley's momentum in London," Delahunty said. "Handling some of the world's most complex litigation challenges is core to Cooley, which has an enviable track record of success both in the United States and more recently here in the UK."

In November 2015, Cooley was named London Office of the Year at the British Legal Awards.

"Louise has deep experience representing global companies and individuals in a wide variety of white collar matters involving allegations of fraud, corruption and economic sanctions. Her track record of success will be a great asset in further expanding our global litigation capabilities," said Michael Attanasio, chair of Cooley's global litigation department.

Delahunty earned her LLB from King's College London and completed the Law Society Finals at the College of Law, Guildford.
