Two Cooley Clients Take Home Corporate Growth Awards
Washington, DC – May 20, 2015 – Cooley clients Blackbird Technologies and Kinsail Corporation were recognized with 2015 Corporate Growth awards by the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) National Capital Region – the Washington, DC region's preeminent association for professionals involved in corporate growth, development and M&A.
The distinguished awards recognize the enterprises and individuals in the greater Washington, DC metro area's business community that have exhibited excellence in corporate growth and deal making over the past year.
Cooley advised Blackbird Technologies on its $420 million acquisition by Raytheon. The transaction won the ACG "strategic deal of the year (over $250M)" award and was also recently named an "M&A deal of the year for 2014" by Washington Technology.
Cooley also advised Kinsail Corporation on its acquisition by Accela. This transaction won the ACG "strategic deal of year (under $50M)" award.
The Cooley M&A team that advised Blackbird Technologies was led by partner Andy Lustig and included associates Aaron Binstock and Matt Schwee. The team that advised Kinsail was also led by Lustig and included associates Schwee and Brian Burke.
