Cooley Advises on Series of SaaS Sales to Microsoft
Palo Alto – September 22, 2015 – In the past two years, Cooley has sold four companies to Microsoft. The companies that were acquired by Microsoft are all SaaS companies focused on increasing productivity.
The series of transactions began in January 2014 with the sale of Parature to Microsoft. The deal enhanced Microsoft's customer relationship management (CRM) platform with the ability to connect with customers across multiple channels.
In November 2014, Cooley advised Acompli, a mobile email management application startup in its sale to Microsoft. The company has since rebranded the application as Outlook for iOS and Android.
In February 2015, Cooley worked with another company in the productivity space, Sunrise, a provider of a next-generation calendar application for iOS and Android, advising the company in its sale to Microsoft.
Most recently, in September 2015, Cooley advised Volometrix, another productivity company, in its sale to Microsoft for an undisclosed amount. Volometrix is a pioneer and leader in organizational analytics.
