Qualcomm, one of Cooley's top long-standing clients, was the inaugural recipient of the Duane Roth Renaissance Award at the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. The award recognized an organization for creating outstanding inventions, innovations or breakthroughs that have changed and improved the world.

Steve Strauss was featured in the video tribute honoring Qualcomm at the event, attended by more than 800 business leaders and government officials. Don Rosenberg, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Qualcomm, accepted the award on behalf of the client.
