New York Law Journal Recognizes Alan Levine as a "Lawyer Who Leads by Example"

New York – September 8, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that New York-based litigation partner Alan Levine was one of five lawyers recently recognized by the New York Law Journal as "Lawyers Who Lead by Example." Alan will be honored in October for his demonstration of leadership through his devotion to improving the legal system and the legal profession in New York.

Alan was the Managing Partner of Kronish Lieb Wiener & Hellman at the time of its merger with Cooley LLP in 2006. Concurrent with maintaining a thriving complex commercial and white collar litigation practice, Alan served on the combined firm's Management Committee for five years following the merger.

One of the nation's most accomplished litigators, Alan has been active in civic and community affairs for his entire career, which spans some forty years. From 2007-2011, he was Chair of the Legal Aid Society. In addition, he has also been at the forefront of any number of initiatives that have resulted in the improvements to the legal profession and the administration of justice.
