Daily Journal Recognizes Steve Strauss as a "Top Development Lawyer"

San Diego –August 18, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that litigation partner Steve Strauss was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of California's "Top 50 Development Lawyers." According to the publication, the list is a "collection of the state's top attorneys whose work in the development arena significantly impacted projects that are helping to shape the transformation of cities."

The Daily Journal highlighted Strauss's recent success for Manchester Pacific Gateway in a case that spanned six years. Strauss fended off numerous environmental challenges to Manchester's $1 billion development project at the Navy Broadway Complex, which Manchester leases, on San Diego's Downtown waterfront. The matter culminated in May 2014, when a federal judge agreed with Cooley's argument and granted Manchester and the Navy summary judgment.

In addition to his work in the development arena, for more than 30 years Strauss has handled high-stakes complex business litigation matters for clients ranging from trailblazing start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
