Cooley Named a Finalist for The Asian Lawyer 's ‘All-Star' Awards

February 14, 2014

Shanghai, China – February 14, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that it was named a finalist in the Life Sciences category for The Asian Lawyer's All-Star firm awards. The winner in each of the nine industry categories will be announced on March 5 at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong.

"It is an honor to be included on such a high-caliber list of firms handling life sciences work in Asia," said Brad Peck, partner-in-charge of Cooley's Shanghai office. "We have truly enjoyed working with companies and entrepreneurs as they innovate in Asia, and we look forward to continuing to expand our presence here."

Cooley opened its Shanghai office in 2011, but has been advising on China-related matters since 1989, longer than any other global law firm. Cooley forms considerably more dollar-denominated China growth equity and venture capital funds in dollar terms than any other law firm worldwide, both historically and currently. Cooley also forms a large number of private equity funds. For more than 20 years, Cooley has been an active advisor in cross-border M&A transactions for clients in the United States and globally, and represents China-based companies in various securities and corporate matters. Additionally, Cooley ranked #1 in BioPharm Insight's latest Global Licensing League Table Report for volume in the Twelve Trailing Months through Q3 2013.
