Reston, VA. – March 21, 2013 – Cooley LLP announced today that Reston-based real estate partner Colleen Gillis Snow has been named a "Rising Star" by Law360. Colleen was one of only six real estate attorneys selected in the United States. The accolade credits attorneys under the age of 40 whose "legal accomplishments belie their age," according to Law360

Colleen's work on the $5 billion westward extension of Washington, DC's Metrorail, which is transforming the Metro DC region; as well as her work on One Loudoun – the 360-acre mixed-use town center and Dulles World Center; and the 80-acre mixed-use projected on the Loudoun-Fairfax County line, were all key distinguishers in Colleen's recent experience that helped earn her the title of "rising star."

"Colleen is well deserving of this title," said Antonio Calabrese, chair of Cooley's Real Estate practice group. "Her knowledge of the real estate sector coupled with her seasoned attorney-client relationship skills far exceed her young age. We're all thrilled that Law360 recognized her achievements."

In her interview with Law360, Colleen pinpoints keen listening skills as the key to being a successful attorney. "In my years of practice, I've learned that so many people want to be heard," she said in the article.
