Heidi Keefe Named Top IP Litigator by the Daily Journal

April 25, 2013

Palo Alto, Calif. – April 24, 2013 – Cooley LLP announced today that Intellectual Property Litigation partner Heidi Keefe was named to the Daily Journal's "Top IP Litigators" list.

Keefe, who is based in the firm's Palo Alto office, handles complex patent disputes for clients across a variety of technical areas. Her success has established her as one of the premier go-to patent litigators in the country for companies who are embroiled in bet-the-company disputes.

For more than five years, Keefe has played a leading role in defending and enforcing Facebook's patent portfolio, which includes the successful representation Facebook in its first ever patent trial. Keefe also co-led the Cooley team that represented Facebook in the successful resolution of its patent dispute with Yahoo in July 2012.

In addition to Facebook, some of Keefe's notable clients include HTC Corporation, eBay Inc., Nike and LinkedIn Corporation.

"Heidi's technical know-how and experience inside and outside the courtroom is invaluable to clients when they are faced with high-stakes patent litigation," said Jim Brogan, head of Cooley's Intellectual Property practice. "She is an incredibly talented patent litigator and her selection to this list has been well-earned and is well-deserved."
