Cooley is the Most Active Law Firm Advising Issuers on US IPOs and Other Equity Offerings – American Lawyer "Corporate Scorecard"
Palo Alto, Calif. – April 8, 2013 – Cooley LLP announced today that it has been ranked first and third across various Corporate Scorecard categories for volume of US IPOs and other non-IPO equity offerings. Serving as issuer counsel on 40 total US equity offerings, including five IPOs, Cooley was the most active law firm advising issuers in the country, based on the data in the report. Cooley was also the third most active law firm advising underwriters on US IPOs. The American Lawyer's 2012 Corporate Scorecard was published in its April 2013 issue.

The American Lawyer's Corporate Scorecard annually tracks the transactional practices of leading firms. Data includes only public, registered, and underwritten offerings or deals transacted in 2012. Equity offerings include worldwide issues by US corporations, including secondaries, convertible bonds, and convertible and nonconvertible preferred stock. IPOs include offerings by US corporations in the US marketplace.
