The Department of Justice has been on a redlining enforcement tear, the Federal Trade Commission is continuing to pressure the auto finance industry on fair lending compliance, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau continues to warn the industry about discriminatory bias lurking in digital offerings and technological advancements. In this session, we will try to make sense of the federal and state fair lending enforcement playbook and find practical solutions for avoiding being next on the hit list. We’ll also discuss other fair lending hotspots across asset classes – including appraisal bias, consideration of a consumer’s immigration status and more.
