New out-licensing deals between Chinese life sciences and healthcare companies and global pharmaceutical companies have been happening almost every week during the past three years. These deals stem from emerging, remarkable scientific discoveries from top Chinese biotech and medtech companies, but there are still major challenges to overcome, including reimbursement, global product development, product commercialization, venture financing and entry to the global market.
