Cooley advised venture capital firm Upfront Ventures on its fundraise of more than $650 million to be deployed across three unique funds focused on various stages of the startup life cycle – the firm’s seventh early-stage fund, Upfront VII, which closed with $280 million in capital commitments; its third growth-stage fund, Upfront Growth III, with $200 million; and its Continuation Fund, with more than $175 million. Lawyers John Dado and Will Newsom led the Cooley team advising Upfront Ventures. 

Cooley advised Chingona Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in founders whose backgrounds uniquely position them to create businesses in growth markets that are often overlooked, on the closing of its new $52 million fund. Lawyers Rachel Goddard, Noah Pittard, Mystery Murphy, Mandy Kondo and Christine Zhao led the Cooley team advising Chingona Ventures.

Cooley is advising M13, an early-stage consumer technology venture capital firm, on its recently announced third flagship fund. Lawyers John Dado, Luke Bagley, Paul Roberts, Mandy Kondo and Rand Singleton are leading the Cooley team advising M13.

Cooley advised Lux Capital on the closing of two new funds at a total of $1.5 billion, bringing Lux’s total capital under management to more than $4 billion. Partner Shane Goudey led the Cooley team advising Lux, a premier venture capital firm based in New York City and Silicon Valley investing in companies on the edge of scientific and technological breakthroughs.

Cooley advised IVP, a premier later-stage venture capital and growth equity firm, on the closing of its $1.8 billion IVP XVII fund, which brings its total committed capital to $8.7 billion. Partners John Clendenin and John Dado led the Cooley team advising IVP.
