Cooley Client Billing Portal FAQs

  • What are the new billing changes for Cooley customers?
    Cooley has partnered with Billtrust to deliver invoices electronically. Beginning October 6, 2025, you will receive all new invoices via email delivery from Billtrust. Log in to Cooley’s Billtrust site to view, print and pay your invoices though our new online payment portal.
  • When will the new billing changes be effective?
    October 6, 2025.
  • How will I know when my bill is available?
    You will receive an email notification that your invoices are available. The email will contain a PDF copy of the invoice(s) and a link to the payment site.
  • Will I be trained on how to use the portal?
    No, there will be no formal training required. Simply access the link provided for an easy, intuitive experience navigating the payment portal.
  • How do I get access to the online billing portal?
    A direct link will be included in your email, but you can also access the online billing portal by going to Cooley’s Billtrust site.
  • Who will Cooley send the email to? And can multiple people have authority to log in to the portal?
    We will continue to send emails to the primary contact. This contact will serve as the administrator for the site and can add additional users with specified privileges. The invoice can be sent to multiple users. Email AskCooleyInv@cooley.com to change the primary contacts for invoice delivery.
  • Will Cooley change how our invoice looks?
    No. The invoice details will be presented in the same fashion as before for a seamless experience.
  • What payment methods are offered through the payment portal?
    You can pay online via ACH or credit card.
  • Do I have to pay online?
    Payment through the payment portal is not mandatory. You can continue to utilize your current payment method or opt in to a more seamless experience through Cooley’s Billtrust site.
  • Are there any fees associated with the new payment platform?
    No. There is no cost for enrolling in or utilizing the payment site.
  • Since the invoices will be online, will I be able to receive a print bill as well? Is each invoice printable on the portal?
    At this time, you will receive an electronic notification with a PDF copy. You will also be able to log into the portal view, print and pay your invoices.
  • How long will my records be available on the online portal?
    Beginning October 6, 2025, you will be able to see your current bill, which will be stored on the portal for one year. Past invoices will not be stored on the portal before our go live in October 2025. Please contact AskCooleyInv@cooley.com for copies of any invoices billed before October 6, 2025.
