Matthew Forget
About Matthew
Matthew focuses on patent preparation and patent prosecution. He leverages his strong background in the physical sciences, as well as hands-on engineering experience in the biotechnology industry. He earned a Master of Science in chemical engineering, with a concentration in biotechnology, from Columbia University, where he completed advanced coursework in neural network architecture and applications, statistical mechanics, transport phenomena and genomic technology.
His BS-related research focused on multistep synthesis and characterization of novel organometallic compounds for applications in photodynamic therapy. The organometallic compounds were then bonded to a transmembrane transport peptide that enabled the complex to enter and destroy the mitochondria of target cells. During his graduate studies, Matthew gained hands-on experience at leading biotechnology companies, including Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Novo Nordisk, supporting both research and development and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) operations.
