Charlotte Japp Crater
About Charlotte
Charlotte maintains and deepens Cooley’s connection with the New York tech ecosystem, developing new business relationships with exciting startups (early to growth stages) and VC firms.
As a former head of platform, Charlotte has worked closely with founders across the artificial intelligence, fintech, automation (drones, robotics), enterprise software as a service and consumer sectors. Before entering VC, she founded CIRKEL, a startup that gained international recognition as a two-way mentoring platform connecting professionals across the generational divide.
Being a superconnector has enabled Charlotte to facilitate impactful connections between startups and strategic partners. She enjoys working hand in hand with founders through operational challenges and fundraising processes.
Prior to her tech sector career, Charlotte spent eight years on creative teams at Vice Media and Live Nation Entertainment, developing multimillion-dollar brand partnerships. She has also worked as a fractional marketer for both early-stage startups and large tech companies like TikTok.
A lifelong New Yorker, Charlotte holds dual US-German nationality.
