Cooley Adds Key Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Partner in Boston
Boston – May 7, 2025 – Laura Stoffel has joined Cooley as an emerging companies and venture capital partner in the firm’s Boston office. She brings extensive experience advising high-growth technology companies and venture capital investors, enhancing Cooley’s ability to provide sophisticated solutions regionally and beyond.
“We are thrilled to welcome Laura to Cooley,” said Sacha Ross, co-chair of Cooley’s global private companies practice group. “Boston is a critical tech, life sciences and venture market for us, and Laura will be a leader of our continued growth in the market.”
Stoffel joins from Gunderson Dettmer, where she spent 12 years building her career advising high-growth technology companies and venture capital funds. Stoffel serves clients across industries, including enterprise software and medtech as general corporate counsel and on equity, debt financing and M&A transactions.
“Laura’s addition will further strengthen Cooley’s capabilities in the Boston region, where she will bring value to clients throughout their life cycle,” said Alfred Browne, a senior partner and co-founder of Cooley’s Boston office. “We take a lot of pride in our market-leading Boston team, and Laura’s practice and character are a welcome addition.”
