April 15, 2025

Washington, DC – April 15, 2025 – Eric Greig has joined Cooley’s Washington, DC, office as the newest partner in the firm’s global life sciences and healthcare regulatory practice. Greig advises clients on healthcare regulatory, market access and reimbursement strategies across the medical device, pharmaceutical, digital health, biotechnology, diagnostics and healthcare services sectors.

“Eric’s addition perfectly complements our market-leading practice of esteemed life sciences advisors,” said Sonya Erickson, Cooley partner and chair of the firm’s global business department. “With a track record of success in bet-the-company regulatory matters and deep knowledge of the drug and device reimbursement framework, Eric will be invaluable as we help our clients shape and respond to the laws and policies affecting their businesses.”

Greig joins from Latham & Watkins, where he most recently served as a partner in its healthcare and life sciences group. During his 15-year career, he has focused his practice on guiding clients through government reimbursement processes, advocating with federal and state health agencies, and achieving creative solutions to coverage, coding, reimbursement, payment and compliance matters. He also advises investors, financial institutions and companies on regulatory issues involved in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and financings.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eric to our growing life sciences and healthcare regulatory group,” said Sonia Nath, Cooley partner and chair of the firm’s global life sciences and healthcare regulatory practice. “His wide-ranging healthcare regulatory experience will bolster our team and clients as they navigate a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape.”

Greig will play a role in the firm’s CooleyREG offering, which provides efficient and comprehensive guidance on current and emerging regulations globally.

“Now more than ever, healthcare and life sciences companies – and the stakeholders invested in their success – need to understand how the changing government and regulatory landscape impacts their ability to deliver positive outcomes for patients,” said Greig. “I am excited to work with the incredible Cooley team to support their innovative clients through the challenges and opportunities in today’s market.”
