Women-Founded Adverb Ventures Closes $75 Million Debut Fund

San Francisco – July 11, 2023 – Cooley advised Adverb Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, on its $75 million debut fund. Partners Eric Doherty and Elizabeth Reese led the Cooley team advising Adverb.

Co-founded by April Underwood and Jessica Verrilli, Adverb is a venture capital firm investing in early-stage startups, typically from pre-seed through Series A financing. From idea through product-market fit and beyond, Adverb backs founders who bring an insight about a market, audience or problem space and have a drive to fully realize their vision on the largest possible scale.
