Agtech Startup eFishery Announces Series D Financing, Unicorn Status

Singapore – July 11, 2023 – Cooley advised eFishery, an Indonesia-based agtech startup, on its Series D financing raising $200 million, bringing its valuation to $1.4 billion. Partners Andrew Harline and Matthew Bartus led the Cooley team.

The round was led by 42XFund, with participation from Malaysia’s KWAP, Switzerland’s responsAbility, 500 Global and a few existing investors – including Temasek, SoftBank and Northstar. With the close of this Series D round, eFishery becomes Indonesia’s latest unicorn and the first aquaculture technology company to surpass a $1 billion valuation.

Cooley has advised clients on four of the top 10 equity deals in Southeast Asia for 2023 year to date – Flash Express’ $447 million Series F, Kredivo’s $270 million Series D, Holmusk’s $45 million Series B and eFishery’s $200 million Series D.
