Root Ventures Closes Third Fund at $150 Million

Palo Alto – August 25, 2022 – Cooley advised Root Ventures, a seed stage venture capital firm, on its newest $150 million seed and pre-seed fund, Root Ventures III. Lawyers John Dado and Katia MacNeill led the Cooley team.

The fund will continue Root Ventures’ dedication to investing in technical founders.

Based in San Francisco, Root Ventures invests in technical teams at the earliest stages, focusing on founders building products at the forefront of technology and creating the tools to make it all possible. Root Ventures III is already investing in teams, with the first three companies spread across the Bay Area, Boston and South Africa.
