Zoom to Acquire Solvvy to Expand Contact Center Offerings

May 13, 2022

San Francisco – May 13, 2022 – Cooley advised Zoom Video Communications on its definitive agreement to acquire Solvvy, a leading conversational artificial intelligence and automation platform for customer support. Lawyers Jamie Leigh, Anne Lieberman, Jon Avina and Sangitha Palaniappa led the Cooley team advising Zoom.

The acquisition will allow Zoom to offer elevated customer service experiences and capitalize on new opportunities in customer contact and support. With the addition of Solvvy’s proprietary technology, the Zoom Contact Center, which was recently launched as the first omnichannel contact center platform optimized for video, will broaden its offerings with scalable self-service and conversational AI. Zoom customers will benefit from an automated, integrated, and easy-to-deploy contact center that helps answer their questions and solve issues faster, improves the overall customer experience, and drives operational savings.

Founded in 2011, Zoom is a space where people connect to others, share ideas, make plans and build toward a future. Zoom’s frictionless communications platform started with video as its foundation, and it’s an intuitive, scalable, and secure choice for individuals, small businesses and large enterprises.
