Top Cyber Lawyers

Cooley partners Michael Rhodes and Travis LeBlanc have been named Top Cyber Lawyers by the Daily Journal.

Rhodes is global chair of Cooley’s cyber, data, privacy and internet practice groups. The Daily Journal highlights Rhodes’ decades of experience representing some of the biggest names in tech on high-stakes litigation and how he has “long defended disruptive business models and new technologies against challenge under older legal principles.”

LeBlanc is vice chair of Cooley’s cyber, data and privacy practice and a member of the US Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. The Daily Journal mentions his focus on data breaches, cyberattacks, national security matters, nation-state attacks, the dissemination of stolen data, misinformation campaigns and government enforcement efforts. It further notes how LeBlanc has supported clients through the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure network security and resiliency in case of a breach, which has become more probable with an increase on in remote interactions.
