Cooley’s New Hudson Yards Office Gets Citywide Recognition

June 11, 2019

New York – June 11, 2019 – Crain’s New York Business has recognized Cooley on its second annual Coolest Offices in New York feature, which highlights innovative design, aesthetics and functionality. Cooley is one of two finalists named for having the “coolest new construction.”

In April, more than 250 employees moved to Cooley’s new office at 55 Hudson Yards, the center of the largest private real estate development in US history and the biggest in New York City since Rockefeller Center. Cooley’s workforce and clients enjoy flagship, state-of-the-art office space across 130,000 square feet near the top of the building.

“Our new office is not just a change in location, but an era-defining workplace shift to encourage more collaboration with both open and private spaces, enabled by cutting-edge technology and a sharpened focus on health and wellness,” said Kathy Pakenham, partner-in-charge of Cooley’s New York office. “All our future workspaces will mirror 55 Hudson Yards – it’s wonderful to pioneer the future Cooley model and for Crain’s to recognize the product of tireless efforts by so many.”

In November 2018, Cooley inked a deal to move its founding San Francisco office from 101 California Street to Three Embarcadero Center in 2021.
